Overcoming Demonic Influences in the Believer's Life

This book focuses on demon oppression and spiritual warfare in the believer's life (as opposed to demonic influences in the lives of unblievers), making it a unique manual. It is written by a formerly Baptist minister, now with Fuller Theological Seminary, so it is ideal reading for those Christians who come from a non-charismatic background who believe that Christians cannot be bothered by demons. It is well-grounded in Scripture, and calmly written, making it markedly different than some sensationalistic books that hype up this area and focus on excessive emotionalism.
If you do not believe that demons can affect Christians, or if you suspect they can, but don't know how, this is the book for you. It is meaty, and in-depth, repeating common themes so that they can be absorbed, not just read about.
If you are a Christian and have been bothered by recurring or troublesome problems in your life and/or those of believers around you, and can't figure out why, this book will have many answers for you. I think it should be required reading for every committed believer, or every believer who wants to be an overcomer, truly free in every area of his/her life.
The main purpose of the book, aside from information and understanding about this area, is to motivate believers to have the courage to step out in ministry in this important area. It establishes a Scriptural basis for this, and walks you through beginning in basic, everyday ministry.
I learned so much, because I knew little about demons, but was very afraid to find out. This book allays your fears, and teaches you the truth from the Word of God so that you will not be afraid. It gave me the courage to step out; in fact, today my husband and I prayed about some issues and it worked! Of course, God always comes through, but it was exciting to have the encouragement and training so that I could have the confidence to take this important first step---trying for the first time. If you are in any type of ministry, even "just" in your home to your family, and are afraid to begin or don't know where to start, this is the book for you.

This book re-iterates some of the points from Dr. Kraft's other book Deep Wounds Deep Healing, however it does go through in detail about the categories of demons, their powers and how to detect and fight different levels of demons. It is very helpful to anyone involved in this type of ministry.

Big Book of God's Amazing Animals

Easy to teach lessons, simple Bible verses, reproducible take home sheets and games are just some of things that make this book "amazing"! Best of all, it uses animal facts to connect "how God want us to live." I have used these lessons in an elementary Bible class, homeschool group and and my own 3 children I teach at home. All the work has been done for you! It also makes the perfect addition to elementary science. Since I have had it, 4 very different people have borrowed it and reported great success! So simple my teenager can use it. There is no doctrine or particular religious affiliation. That's great for us who are involved with groups of different religions.

Absolutely Amazing

Each animal teaches a lesson such as accepting others, anger, arguing, craving God's word, bearing others burdens, peacemaking, and worship. Children will easily grasp the lessons as they relate them to certain animals. I think this is a unique approach to teaching - every time a child sees a gorilla the lesson about anger will come to mind. What better way to instill in our children the importance of God's word than to give them a visual trigger that will make them recall His unchanging word and it's application to life.

I really like the "Discover Page" that is filled with neat information and fun facts and the verse for the lesson. I found that these pages make great worksheets for the children to color and keep so that they can re-visit each lesson and put into action the things they learn.

Fun book, be a kid and have some fun

This is a great book on paper airplanes and some origami paper toys. It is mostly about airplanes and there is airplane after airplane on page after page. No matter what you want your airplane to do, glide for long distance, do tricks or just plain look cool, it is in this book. Unlike some other books on this subject it does not have any premarked papers secured to the inside of the book that you can rip out and fold. On the other hand, these planes use ordinary paper and have such good illustrations that you can make them without any premarked patterns on the paper. I love the book. I've folded most of the planes and flew them. It makes me a popular person at children get togethers and allows me to be a child again once in a while myself.
The only thing that I don't like is that it has no theory of paper airplanes. If you fold one and it does not seem to be acting right then there is nothing in here that might teach you how to correct the problem. If you want to learn the aerodynamics involved in making a paper airplane act the way it does, how lift and drag affect the flight, etc, then this book is useless to you. But if you just want to follow the diagrams and make some great airplanes that are consistently fun, then this is your book.
Just "plane" fun.

A Great Book!

This book is one of the best paper airplane books I have seen that just gives instructions on how to make them out of NORMAL PAPER. No annoying colorful designs you can ONLY make 2 of, this has it all, from the normal dart, to the X-Wing. The first one in the book is called The Master. It's GREAT! My favorite at least. You can also learn to make ninja stars and frogs, helicopters, and a pac-man head. If you love paper planes, get this book!

Lots of Fun

I never knew paper airplanes could fly so well. Right from the start you'll be able to build simple planes that fly straight and far. The short paragraphs about each plane, in which the author sometimes explains how he discovered the design of the plane, are fun to read. The flying tips included with some designs are helpful. The only problem with the book, and the reason I didn't give it five stars, is that the diagrams and instructions for some designs are confusing. For example, I can't build the last plane even after spending about an hour and several sheets of paper on it. It would be really helpful to have actual photographs of some of the more complicated planes at certain steps in the building process. Regardless, for me the book was worth it after I built plane number one.
