Many Christians say they want to grow in the Lord; but what happens when the cost of maturing in Christ requires waiting?

Pastor Marlinda Ireland's book, What Is God Waiting For? addresses why God allows believers to endure seasons of delay.

This book is packed with personal and Biblical illustrations on the reality of God's presence and provision during our times of waiting. What Is God Waiting For? demonstrates that our delays are not always a result of being disobedient to God. In fact, many times God is trying to give us fresh new perspectives on our circumstances and the people around us. Regardless of how we may feel, God is always at work: whether it's in us or on the people in our circle of influence.

One of the other issues that Pastor Ireland focuses on is fasting and prayer during our divine delays. She clears up many of the myths about fasting and shows the reader how to use it as a means of staying in tune with God.

No matter how long one has been saved, every believer will experience times of waiting: a time where nothing seems to be going as planned and everything is off-schedule.

However, this book will help the believer to see that God has a purpose for every divine delay we endure.

i found this book to be so inspirational to me. it is a book that can take you to your next level of your faith walk. i give it an A+. trusting in what god has planned for us can be so hard. this book enables you to understand a lot better how to trust and wait on god.

Waiting time is not wasted time.

A divine delay is a most apt term. Whom among us knows the mind of God? Clearly none on earth. Mrs. Ireland appropriately catches the tone and tenor of the time one spends in a "divine delay". What does one do when they have done all that is humanly possible? Mrs. Ireland argues the case that the four letter word that we don't like - W A I T - is actually the time to reacquaint with God and even delve into his mind. What is God doing? Godwork seems to be her answer. This is a book that belongs in the library of each Christian. Is there any Bible believing Christian who has not had to wait? If so, you too need this book, because the time is coming!

Valiente testimonio de cambio

Este no es un libro para mujeres. En realidad es para toda pareja de creyentes que sirven fielmente a Dios pero que enfrentan la dura realidad de que en un mundo defectuoso la iglesia no escapa a las disfunciones. No existe ministerio ni iglesia perfecta, solo humanos esforzandose por hacer una diferencia amparados al poder y la gracia de un Dios justo y amoroso. He conocido a Gery y a Pete personalnente, escuchando su testimonio de primera mano y compartido lo que he aprendido en mi matrimonio y a otros creyentes. Este libro deberia ser obligatorio para todo siervo y sierva de Dios antes de iniciar un ministerio publico o servir en la casa de Dios.

Interesting subject matter, not very well delivered.

The interesting thing about this book is that it did approach subject matter that not a lot of writers seem to have been able to cover from this sort of prospective. However, this was not a very easy read.. the content is there and it seems as if the writer did his research and knew of what he was speaking.. however as far as the flow of the content being delivered it was very easy to put down. This is the type of book you read when in school because your professor has made it required reading. I'm not overall sure of what the message of the book was, or if there was a message just beyond exposing the different organizations that exist etc. Not really something I'd ever pick up and continue reading if I'd not had a conversation with the author and was curious to read the work.

I appreciate Jerome Walters' perspective on extremist groups. Very informative on a wide range of issues. I heard Pastor Walters speak to an adult class here in Washington. He is an even better speaker.

Nice Early Work on the Lady Be Good

Probably the oldest book on the subject of the "Lady Be Good", it gives a decent overview of the story of the bomber, though later works and new information and research make it dated. Still, it was the benchmark for a number of years. There are pictures in here that aren't found in other sources, so this alone made it worth the price to me.

Great collection, if you don't mind low readability

For anyone interested in classic literature (which includes me), this would be a great purchase. John Steinbeck was a great writer, and to have 'The Grapes of Wrath' and 'Of Mice and Men' in one leather-bound collection must be great for all Steinbeck scholars/fans.

Here's my bone to pick (and why the rating is not five stars): there is very little to write home about with regards to readability. The page format, as with all the releases in this collection, is sometimes bothersome. The font is smaller than your average hardcover book release, even though the pages are larger. Also, there is no blank space between paragraphs and little line spacing. The large pages, fairly small font, small line spacing, and lack of blankness between paragraphs makes, in short, for a novel collection in which each page is composed of about 50 lines of writing. For readers used to page structures with good line spacing, this can be rather tedious. So, as with all Amaranth Press Masters' Library releases, this is for those who don't mind that.

A Good Steinbeck Collection

If you enjoy Steinbeck, then this is a nice book to have. It has copies of The Grapes of Wrath, the Moon Is Down, Cannery Row, East of Eden, and Of Mice and Men. The quality of each book is up to the opinions and personality of the stories, but the collection is a nice. A lovely hard cover and golden sided pages. It's a huge book, but hey, it's got The Grapes of Wrath, the Moon Is Down, Cannery Row, East of Eden, and Of Mice and Men in one huge collection. What do you expect!? All in all, a very nicely done book.

Copy is poorly edited and the jacket is blue.

Cover isn't black as pictured, it's a rediculously cheap looking blue (doesn't look classy on the bookshelf). Tons of the copy is misspelled which is super annoying while reading. Try a different publisher. Shipping was as promissed though.
